This program aims to develop trained human resources in the management of the nation’s marine resources. The comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge of marine science, including aspects of biological, chemical, physical, and geological oceanography will be emphasized in this program. It focuses on current topics in marine science include marine resource development, environmental impact assessment, pollution, and marine policies. The program also offers advantages in the aspect of practical sea training and research projects related to marine science. It is achievable as UMT’s possess an extensive and up-to-date oceanographic equipment.
Marine Scientific Data Analysis, Fundamentals of Marine Science, Marine Biogeochemistry, Dynamics of Coastal and Estuarine Zones, Oceans, Atmosphere and Climate, Mathematics, Coastal Morphology and Management, Biological Oceanography, Physical Oceanography, Geological Oceanography, Chemical Oceanography, Marine Pollution, Marine Management and Policy Approaches, Remote Sensing and GIS, Environmental Impact Assessment, Scientific Writing and Communication in Science, Marine Productivity.
STPM (SCIENCE) GRADUATES
