This interdisciplinary program provides students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in developing computer technology applications in the maritime industry. Areas within maritime informatics that can be explored include maritime data management, maritime information systems, maritime analytics, and data visualization. Empowering digital technologies, robotics, artificial intelligence, and big data are critical in supporting the maritime and shipping transportation sectors. This program aims to produce holistic graduates who can meet the demands of the high-tech industry and support development and research specific to the maritime industry.
