This program is accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and recognized by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). It has also gained recognition from various professional bodies, including the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), CPA (Australia), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). The program collaborates with two key organizations: Salihin Chartered Accountants and ACCA. Through its partnership with Salihin Chartered Accountants, the Teaching Accountancy Firm (TAF) was established, offering students hands-on experience in accounting, auditing, and taxation within an industry setting. Meanwhile, the collaboration with ACCA has introduced the ACCA Accelerate program, enabling students to sit for ACCA professional exams during their studies at UMT. Without this initiative, students typically take these exams after graduation. Additionally, eligible students can participate in the SMP-ACCA Internary (SAI) program, which provides a year-long industrial training experience with ACCA Approved Employers. This program allows students to complete their ACCA certification before graduating, giving them a competitive edge in the job market.
