Crop Science Program focuses on knowledge and techniques to enhance agricultural productivity through courses such as plant anatomy and classification, genetic and plant breeding, plant physiology, crop systems, crop production technology, soil science, agricultural mechanization, precision agricultural technology, pest, disease, and weed control in agriculture, and seed technology. The main objective of this program is to generate and disseminate knowledge for the development of agriculture in various fields of crop science.
The core courses offered include: Biochemistry, Botany and Plant Physiology, Agricultural Entomology, Genetics and Agricultural Biotechnology, Agricultural Research Methods, Agricultural Mechanization, Communication and Agricultural Technology Transfer, Agricultural Microbiology, Plant Pathology, Plant Breeding, Weed Science, Basic Soil Science, Computer Systems and Applications, Plantation Crops, Seed Technology, Technology and Management of Crop Fertilization, Agricultural and Food Production Technology, Seedling and Plant Propagation Technology, Soilless Planting Technology
STPM (SCIENCE) GRADUATES
Achieve a minimum Grade C in ONE (1) subject at STPM level: Physics / Chemistry / Biology
STPM (ART STREAM) GRADUATES
Achieve a minimum CGPA of 2.00 at STPM level.
Achieve a minimum Grade B in ONE (1) subject at SPM level: Biology / Physics / Chemistry / Science
MATRICULATION / FOUNDATION (SCIENCE / ENGINEERING) GRADUATES
Achieve a minimum Grade C in ONE (1) subject at Matriculation/Foundation level: Biology / Physics /
Chemistry
MATRICULATION (ACCOUNTING STREAM):
Achieve a minimum CGPA of 2.00 at Matriculation level.

DIPLOMA/EQUIVALENT GRADUATES
Possess a Diploma or other equivalent qualifications recognized as equivalent and approved by the University Senate.
MALAYSIAN UNIVERSITY ENGLISH TEST (MUET)
Applicants must achieve a minimum of BAND 3.0 for results obtained from Session 1, 2021 onwards, or BAND 3 for results obtained in 2020 or earlier, provided the results remain valid at the time of application
