BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (DATA ANALYTICS) WITH HONOURS

  • PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This program integrates data science, statistics, machine learning, and mathematics, aligning with the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR4.0) through the 2u2i model (2 years at university and 1 year in industry). Students will complete 2.5 years of university coursework and gain 1 year of industry experience. The program includes the SAS Certificate (SAS Academic Specialization in Data Analytics), preparing students for the increasing demand for data analysts. Graduates will develop skills in advanced data analysis, interpretation, and decision-making across various industries. Students will also engage in 4 industry-based courses through Work-Based Learning (WBL) in their final year, gaining hands-on experience with real-world industry projects. The 2u2i model ensures practical learning, enhancing students’ qualifications and career prospects.

Linear Algebra, Topology Data Analysis, Predictive Analytics, Industrial Programming Languages, Survey Sampling Methods, Scientific Studies, Multivariate Calculus, Probability and Statistics for Data Analytics, Applied Linear Statistical Model, Databases, Introduction to Machine Learning, Introduction to Data Science, Experimental Design, Network Science, Bayesian Statistics, Multivariate Statistics, Data Structures and Algorithms, Data Visualization

  • ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

STPM (SCIENCE) GRADUATES
Achieve a minimum Grade C in Mathematics T at the STPM level.


MATRICULATION / FOUNDATION (SCIENCE / ENGINEERING) GRADUATES
Achieve a minimum Grade C in ONE (1) subject at Matriculation / Foundation level: Mathematics.


DIPLOMA/EQUIVALENT GRADUATES
Possess a Diploma or other qualifications recognized as equivalent and approved by the University Senate.


MALAYSIAN UNIVERSITY ENGLISH TEST (MUET)
Applicants must achieve a minimum of BAND 3.0 for results obtained from Session 1, 2021 onwards, or BAND 3 for results obtained in 2020 or earlier, provided the results remain valid at the time of application.
